A two week trip to Cala d’Or Mallorca in Spain

Two weeks of sun, sea & summer fun in Cala d’Or Mallorca Spain

As a travel blogger for Comfortvilla, I had the amazing opportunity to spend two weeks soaking up the sun, dipping my toes in golden sand, and exploring the charming town of Cala d’Or in Mallorca. Two villas, seven beaches, countless tapas, and a few laugh-out-loud moments later, I’m back to share the memories and tips that’ll have you dreaming of your own Spanish escape.

Week 1

Villa Sa Goleta – Where luxury meets laughter

My first week was spent in the beautiful Villa Sa Goleta, perfectly perched by Cala d’Or’s harbor. With six bedrooms, three bathrooms, and a pool begging for cannonballs, I felt like royalty in my own Mediterranean palace.

Each morning started with coffee on the terrace, watching sailboats drift lazily by. The kitchen was so well-equipped I seriously considered writing a cookbook: “Tapas & Tequila – Confessions of an Accidental Chef.” Yes, I tried making paella. Yes, I failed gloriously. But hey, the local pizzeria appreciated the extra business.

Week 2

Villa Cala Gran – Peace, privacy and poolside bliss

For week two, I moved into Villa Cala Gran, a peaceful retreat just 500 meters from the beach. With a lush garden, a kidney-shaped pool, and a quirky tower room that made me feel like Rapunzel (minus the hair), it was pure bliss.

Evenings were spent BBQing under the stars. Pro tip: when I say “medium rare,” I apparently mean “a little too crispy.” Thankfully, the local wine more than made up for my grilling mishaps.

Beach hopping: sand between my toes

Cala d’Or is known for its gorgeous coves, and I made it my mission to explore them all:

  • Cala Gran: The largest beach — great for people-watching and building sandcastles.
  • Cala Esmeralda: Crystal-clear waters and a calm vibe — perfect for a nap.
  • Cala Ferrera: Family-friendly with shallow waters — I accidentally won a beach ball match here.
  • Cala Serena: A hidden gem — where I attempted yoga and fell over during tree pose. Oops.

Beyond the beach: forts, nature

Sunbathing is great, but I wanted some adventure too:

  • Es Fortí: A historic fort with views so stunning, my camera overheated.
  • Mondragó Nature Park: Trails, hidden beaches, and the realization that I am not a natural birdwatcher.
  • Biking to Porto Petro: A charming fishing village… where I learned that biking after sangria is a hard no.

Culinary escapades: tapas, tempranillo & too much tinto

Eating in Cala d’Or is like a holiday for your taste buds:

  • La Bodega: Tapas so good I forgot to take photos (rookie blogger move!).
  • Restaurante Port Petit: Stunning harbor views and seafood that made me weep with joy.
  • Ca’n Trompe: Traditional Mallorcan dishes and a waiter who patiently taught me how to pronounce “sobrasada” correctly (with only a little spit).

Cala d’Or, stole my heart – and my beach towel…

My two weeks in Cala d’Or with Comfortvilla were filled with sunshine, salty swims, sensational food, and stories I’ll cherish forever. Whether you’re after relaxation, adventure, or just an excuse to wear sunglasses 24/7, Cala d’Or delivers.

So pack your bags, don’t forget the sunscreen, and let Comfortvilla be your guide to the ultimate Mallorcan getaway. Who knows — you might even catch me on the beach, still trying to master my yoga pose.
